Overview
By law, the County is obligated to provide emergency planning for those facilities within the County that use, store, or manufacture extremely hazardous substances.
Planning
Planning is completed through cooperation and participation of the Department of Public Safety Planning Coordinator, the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), and facility personnel.
All facility plans are filed with the Department of Public Safety.
Planning is also coordinated for response to and mitigation of highway accidents involving hazardous materials.
