Records Notification System

The Cumberland County Recorder of Deeds offers a free Record Notification System for all county residents. This service is provided through our land records software partner, Landex (Optical Storage Solutions). When you sign up, you’ll receive text or email alerts if a new document is recorded under your parcel number. Please note that the Recorder of Deeds Office cannot sign up residents—individuals must register using the link below.

This service is funded by the Recorder of Deeds Record Improvement Fund, so it does not use county tax dollars.

Disclaimer: All documents in the Recorder of Deeds’ Office, except for Veterans Discharges, are public record. Any member of the public can access this information at any time. The Recorder of Deeds and her staff are not permitted to make legal determinations. “Fraud” is a legal determination. No Records Notification System can determine fraud; the only action provided by these services is to provide an alert to a property owner who has signed up for the notification system, when a NEW document has been recorded on the parcel number provided. If you receive a notification, it does not necessarily mean that fraud has occurred on your property. If anyone feels they may have been the victim of deed fraud or property theft, contact the Recorder’s Office to confirm deed information, and alert legal authorities and/or an attorney.
