Instructions for voting in person or by absentee/mail-in ballot in Cumberland County

Go to your polling place on Election Day between 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. to cast your vote.
Voting By Mail
If voting by absentee or mail-in ballot:
Make sure you are
registered to vote
in Cumberland County.
Submit an application to receive a
absentee or mail-in ballot

When you receive your ballot, follow the steps in the video below.
Mail or hand deliver your voted ballot to the
Bureau of Elections Office
.
If hand delivering your ballot, you may only deliver your own ballot.
Steps to Vote by mail-in or absentee ballot:
Complete the ballot:
Vote your ballot
Make sure you vote both sides of the ballot
Verify your selections on both sides
Fold the Ballot:
Place your ballot in the yellow secrecy envelope and seal it
Place the yellow secrecy envelope in the mailing envelope with a purple stripe and seal it
Sign & Date:
Sign and date the back of the mailing envelope
Mail or Hand Deliver:

If mailing your ballot through the U.S. Postal Service, place the proper postage on the front of the mailing envelope.
If hand delivering, place your ballot in the secure ballot box at the Cumberland County Bureau of Elections.
