There are circumstances where age or other barriers prevent a juvenile to be able to financially pay back for damage done to a victim. Because of these situations, the Cumberland County Juvenile Probation department established a restitution fund. Juveniles can earn money from the restitution fund through the completion of community service hours with the juvenile probation department. Additionally, juveniles under supervision also are required to pay a Restitution Fund Fee which helps maintain the restitution fund.
