Almost every child that is referred to the Juvenile Probation Office receives a YLS Risk Assessment. This Assessment is an objective based measure to help determine an appropriate level of care for each juvenile and will also help identify areas of need that can be addressed while the juvenile is involved with the Court.
Additionally, juveniles referred to the Juvenile Probation Office that are identified as having drug & alcohol or other mental health needs may be referred to an outside agency for further evaluation to help best determine each individual's treatment needs. These evaluations could include Psychological, Psychiatric, Drug and Alcohol, or Psycho-Sexual Evaluations.
