Independent Monitoring for Quality

What is Independent Monitoring for Quality (IM4Q)?
IM4Q is a process used to continuously improve the quality of the IDD service system as well as improve the quality of life of individuals and their families.

How does it work?
Each year, random samples of individuals are chosen to participate in the voluntary interview, conducted by an independent organization. These chosen individuals are asked questions regarding their satisfaction with services and their impression of their quality of life.

What happens to this information?
The results are shared with both the County Program Office and the state if the individual so chooses. Follow up by the County Program to expressed concerns will occur.
