Cumberland County takes energy and utility savings seriously and has received the EPA Energy Star Award, the Governor's Award, and has been named on PPL Electric's E-Power Energy-Smart Business Honor Roll for our energy-saving efforts.
Some of our efficiency efforts include
- Energy efficient lighting
- Motion sensors on lighting and vending machines
- Low flow water spigots and toilets
- Energy management system for HVAC systems
Nearly 5 million energy dollars have been saved over the last 15 years due to the efforts of our Facilities Management team.
