Forensic Investigation Division

Mission Statement 

The Forensic Investigation Division provides forensic services for the Cumberland County District Attorney's Office and law enforcement agencies within Cumberland County. Our team of committed specialists at the laboratory strives for excellence and integrity in every aspect of the services we offer.

Responsibilities 

1. Assist municipal police departments with forensic services upon request.
2. Generate and distribute invoices for testing to add to defendant's court costs upon conviction.
3. Generate written reports of all forensic disciplines performed.
4. Maintains compliance with accreditation standards and the laboratory’s quality management system.
5. Maintains knowledge of currently used technologies and procedures through regular reading of forensic literature.
6. Provide court testimony for all forensic disciplines performed.
