The Cumberland County Office of Veterans Affairs & Services (OVAS) is a source of help for approximately 18,000 veterans who reside in our county.
Mission
Honor and support our veterans by providing assistance, education, outreach, and advocacy to veterans and their families and ensuring that each veteran receives the appropriate federal, state, and county benefits and services in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
We are accredited with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and are authorized to submit claims for benefits and represent claimants with processing their claims to include appeals to the Board of Veterans Appeals.
