A specialized unit of Adult Probation/Parole officers processes and supervises DUI cases in Cumberland County. Typically, DUI offenders must attend an Alcohol Highway Safety Program (DUI School) lasting 12-1/2 to 15 hours in duration. Each offender must undergo an alcohol evaluation, by an approved, licensed drug and alcohol treatment agency and comply with any Court recommended counseling. All assessed costs and fines, in the case of most multiple offenders, must be paid in full or in strict compliance with a payment schedule prior to reinstatement of the offender's driver’s license.
