Guiding Good Choices is a free 5-week program for parents & caregivers of youth, ages 9-14. Participants will learn how to advise against the pressures of drug use and other risky behaviors.

Interest in home food preservation has grown in recent years.

Canning, freezing, and drying are preservation methods that allow you to enjoy seasonal foods year-round. While these home food preservation methods have existed for centuries, we have learned much about the science behind these methods in the last few years.

Cumberland County has developed a Facilities Master Plan (FMP) which will guide facility projects to keep pace with growing demand for county services.

The FMP addresses the county’s obsolete facilities, growing space deficits, and increasing demand for services.

For many years, Cumberland County has managed its facility and space challenges through a series of short-term fixes, including renovations, building purchases, relocations and consolidations. The FMP marks a shift for the county towards a long-term, comprehensive approach to facility and space planning over the next 20 years.

Each year homeowners receive a postcard from their school district to confirm they are approved. 

If you are a new homeowner or have not applied in the past you will receive an application for Homestead/Farmstead.

The Homestead/Farmstead program reduces the homeowner’s school property taxes, and the savings is reflected on your school property tax bill. If you have not already applied for the program, you can fill out an application between December 15 and March 1.
